I found this photo from twitter and notice all the snow in the picture. This is incredible. Maybe we are into the ice age again.
Enjoy a nice winter season...

The Climythology of America
An essay written by David M. Ludlum (1910-1997)
My first impression of this essay was very interesting. The title says it all too. The word climythology is in the title. I find that amusing. How do we define climythology? A quick search on the internet for anything to tell me what it means comes up futile. So, I can say what it means to me.
Does climythology mean a fake, or mythical, research of climates? Does it mean anything about climates? Or could it mean something about religious beliefs of ancient gods? I will try to discern what it means to me.
The author, Ludlum, was characteristically described in Wikipedia as a meteorologist, entrepreneur, historian and author. His Alma mater was Princeton University. So as someone who graduated with a doctorate, why would he phrase a title with an unknown word? I sit and ponder that as it causes me much consternation. I am attempting to throw my thinking into this without castigating Mr. Ludlum post-mortem. I say he was a very honorable man and contributed a lot to professional societies. What troubles me is why environmental societies take his work as the direction that the world is rapidly “going to hell in a hand basket” as a grandmother would say to a wayward child. His essays entail much about past American winters and other weather related stories. What can we render as truth to snapshots of American history? We can gather a lot of data points, but that still leaves me wondering why the climate is changing.
So, the definition of climythology to me might mean some environmentalists are engaged in promoting mythical facts about the changing weather or climate. Or, is our climate really changing due to “Americans” reign of industrialization of the planet. Have our superior talents, such as Mr. Ludlum demonstrated, made us the culprit to climate change and higher CO2 in the atmosphere. Americans share this planet with everyone else and everyone else wants to take on the consumerism of our society.
I was in Germany in 1978 as a 9 year old lad, and I personally observed an automobile driver take her “car phone” and dial a telephone number and talk to her son at their house. To me that was the most amazing thing to witness even way back then. That was in Europe with a civilian person, while here in America, only military or government officials were allowed to use “car phones”. Now in this day (2012) everyone across the globe uses a mobile phone. Are mobile phones contributing to GHG? I venture to say that they particularly are. This is because they are electronic devices and must be energized with electricity. From the battery being recharged to all computer and other electronic devices that transmit radio signals to and from cell towers, all this “stuff” uses electrical energy which must come from some other energy source. Now, you tell me who is going to be the first to eliminate mobile phone devices from consumers. Oh there has to be a starting point somewhere.
This is why environmentalism can be a radical approach to changing our planet. I say we need a “balanced” approach in that everyone learns to respect Mother Nature with all her ways of “feeding” humans and giving us a more comfortable living space. Will it be Americans who bring an end to the world as the last and bitter enemy to be destroyed? I vouch NO, by no means are we the only culprits to destruction. Everyone person alive contributes to GHG; therefore, everyone should take a part in first learning to respect mother earth, with all the natural forces she has to play with.
So, Climythology, is defined by me to mean, as in the days of ancient Greeks and Romans, who worshipped false gods of the universe, that our climate is destined to change just because of growing population and the ever present “large” toll on resources for our needs. Those ancient gods eventually disappeared from people’s lives, and so, we all have to be careful to know who the true God is. He supremely controls all things, including Mother Earth; and at His appointed time, He will make a day of reckoning for all peoples, not just Americans.

Personal vibes...inconvenient truth
The movie is over and I am finally glad that is so. I actually feel sick to my gut after watching so much arrogance and faulty statements of Mr. Gore. I posted my comments on a previous blog post in regards to what I think is faulty claims he made in the movie. After watching this movie, I will change approach to how I personally feel toward Mr. Gore and his attitude.
Mr. Gore is a politician. And I ask the question, “Who really believes politicians anymore?” I was once told by an elderly gentleman the humorous definition of a politician. Here is what he said. Break down the word politics. You will get “poli” meaning many. And then you will get “tic” meaning blood sucking critter. So in all reality you bring those two parts back together and you will get this: “many blood sucking critters” now, do politicians really suck blood. No, but they would like to suck ever last ounce of money from you which in reality money is the blood of governmental systems. Agree. So, yes they are trying to suck ever last ounce of blood from every one of us. This is the basis of my outright criticism of Mr. Gore.
In the movie, Inconvenient Truth, he says some very startling things to jar us awake about planet earth. Such as “connecting the dots” in reference about the increasing use of petroleum and global warming. OK, there is the connection; however, I would like to pose this question to him and everyone else. Has Mr. Gore “connected the dots” of his soul to the eternal after life? And have you done the same? Because as I watched this movie, Mr. Gore said the sea level would rise 20 feet higher if all the ice would melt in the arctic regions. This is a prophecy so to speak and a prophet is only a true prophet if what he says comes true. Well, my mind is telling me that he is a false prophet. Can you really comprehend the complete devastation to the earth should the oceans rise 20 feet? There would be major loses of life in major metropolitan cities all around the globe. Therefore, should that happen, I sincerely pray for those lost souls and myself, too. Eternity is knocking at your door.
Also at almost the very end, Mr. Gore says this is a moral issue. He, just before that statement, said it can be corrected with political changes. Now, in American society, there is this prevailing thought that you cannot legislate morality. So, how can these changes that he proposes be made into effect without a major shift in political propaganda? It cannot be done. His morality would have to be legislated. And isn’t that against the prevailing American societal thinking. Yes.

Post-election one-week past analysis
My critical analysis of the past general election is weighing heavy on my mind. I exercised my civic duty on November 6 so I feel entitled to voice a public position on the outcome of this horrific election cycle. First, I must say that I am dreadfully disappointed that voters have re-elected President Barack Obama. Now, I have got that off my chest and you all see that I am not an Obama supporter. Was I a Romney supporter? Ummm, no, I really was not either although I felt compelled to vote for him strictly on the premise that he was the best running candidate. And this brings up my next point: America has a democracy formed government in that elections are held and citizens are offered a choice of who to vote for. Unfortunately, we are not always given the “best” candidate to run for office. So, now you realize that I voted Republican. I have always voted Republican over the last 7 presidential voting cycles, since 1988. I have always felt that Republicans have had the best running candidates. I grew up in the Reagan years and I honestly say that there has not been a grander politician than Mr. Reagan. God bless his soul.
So, what is the critical problem now one week after the election. The overall climate of political, social, religious, fiscal, etc. things is simply devastating our governmental institutions. The whole realm of life is bombarded with evil and sinful ways of man. This whole world is dark and dreary. Can you really find a resolute and calm place anywhere. Some people say that if Mr. Romney had been elected they would have left America to go to Mexico or Australia, or other places. And some other people said the same thing if Mr. Obama would be elected. Are they really leaving now. No, probably not; because in all reality there is no other safer place to go. America has been the best nation ever on the face of the earth. Yet, I feel we are not fully appreciating and being thankful to God that this is so. God has allowed these blessings to be. Do you believe that?
In conclusion, I simply say that all should be aware that it is God who sets up governments and it will be his privilege to take any government down. He rules supremely over all the affairs of the world. All conducted in the natural elements, which includes the human physical mind [brain] to be intelligent to vote. There is also the spiritual realm that cause men to think good or evil. This is with everyone. No one is exempt from thinking good or evil. We are fully responsible and accountable for our deeds. This is what American who voted for Mr. Obama will have to live with. His changes in government and policies will affect all Americans. Therefore, I choose to live faithful to my higher power and that is God. He will control all things.

INCONVENIENT TRUTH --- radical environmentalism
I am not a fan of Al Gore. With that said, I suppose this has terribly offended environmentalist. Now wait a minute, ok. Let me explain why. For me, I find it hard to believe in the radical agenda of environmentalism. I simply have major concerns about their agenda and rhetoric which is politically charged. I think their propaganda is filled with major errors and factual mistakes. This especially includes Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth”. As I have read the essay by Stefan Lovgren in our English class, my common sense tells me there are serious claims of Gore that even me, logically thinking, cannot be true.
Here is the first claim that I find preposterous. Global warming will also cause the introduction of new, invasive species. This is contradictory even in itself with the belief that this planet is on a course of destruction because of humans, as Gore purports. How can this claim be true? Invasive species is so open ended. Anything can fall into that category because this world is destined to fail. There will be scientific discoveries of “new” species as time goes on. Scientists are in the business to make discoveries upon their research. There will be mutations of lower forms that create havoc upon humans. Does that mean that global warming caused them? I find that to be a wild claim.
Another claim is that sea levels will rise by 20 feet with the loss of shelf ice in Greenland and Antarctica. Seriously can you envision 20 feet of rise in ocean waters? It cannot even be calculated the enormous volume of water to raise the sea level by 20 feet. The magnitude of that amount is so large that it is not possible to happen. Sea level is the mean gradient to base elevations on. If that would change even by a minute amount, the landscapes and horizons all around the globe would change too. That means where there are coastal areas now, they would become flooded. This would change the numbers in the equation to calculate the volume of water and make it even more astronomically large. This is a complete false claim, and therefore, I reason that Gore is spreading false rumors and injecting fear into people’s minds that humans are evil beings.
Gore’s claim that the Arctic Ocean could be ice-free by summer of 2050. He said that in 2006 and now evidence declares that there is absolutely no change yet in the conditions of the Arctic Ocean. We are now 6 years closer to 2050 and if the ocean is to be ice-free by then the temperature of the whole world has to change almost 100 degrees higher. If that would happen of course humans would be eradicated from the earth. Our summer of 2012 was one of the hottest on record and yet nothing has changed in the Arctic. I will even predict that this will be a very severe cold and wet winter. Reversing any trends of global warming.
So, in conclusion, just stop and think of these claims. Why does an environmentalist want to condemn the practices of us humans? I say it all stems from the theory of evolution. Darwinism is entrenched into radical minds to believe that humans come from lower life forms and they are ‘hell’ bent on destroying the planet. The propagation of fear among us gives rise to believing a myth from only the higher intelligent beings. The unintelligent humans must be controlled and forced to convert to radical environmentalism, either through government reforms or rhetorical dogma. All books and scientific evidence contrary to their beliefs are to be destroyed. So, whatever might happen in the future as to earth science and environmentalism, I will stand to the last end not believing false ideology.
